Sarah Corso, winner of the RUCHE/AFHE grant to support the writing of a master's thesis

The School of Research extends its congratulations to Sarah Corso, a second-year Master's student in history, who has been awarded the RUCHE/AFHE grant to support the writing of her Master's thesis.

Since 2020, the University Network of Researchers in Environmental History (RUCHE) and the French Association of Economic History (AFHE) have joined forces to award an annual grant to support a Master's thesis combining approaches to environmental history and economic history. This grant is intended for ongoing research and aims to encourage the dissemination of these historiographical approaches in France.

For the current year, the grant was awarded to Sarah Corso for her thesis project entitled ‘The red sludge of Montedison (1972-1985): scientific discourse as a political instrument’. This work is part of a reflection on the interactions between scientific knowledge, environmental issues and economic dynamics.

With this distinction, RUCHE and AFHE reaffirm their support for Master's students whose work contributes to the renewal of approaches in economic and environmental history.
