Congratulations to Maria Lee Folch, who has just received an honourable mention from the jury of the Genaro Estrada Prize for her Master's thesis entitled ‘The Instrumentalisation of the Historical Memory of the French Intervention in Mexico (1861–1867) by Cold War Actors during the French-Mexican Rapprochement of the Early 1960s’, written as part of the Master in History at the School of Research in 2025.

Awarded by the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this prize recognises the best bachelor's, master's and doctoral theses that contribute to the study of international relations and Mexican foreign policy.

Maria is now a project manager for the promotion and enhancement of international research within the Scientific Direction of Sciences Po.
