Blaise Truong-Loï, triennial thesis prize from the International Economic History Association

 

Blaise Truong-Loï received the International Economic History Association Triennial Dissertation Award in the category ‘Long Nineteenth Century’. He was presented with the award on 30 July 2025 during the closing session of the World Economic History Congress, held at Lund University (Sweden).

This prize recognises his thesis entitled ‘(Re)giving life to capital: a history of international financial control institutions between sovereignties, imperialisms and capitalist globalisation (1870-1914)’, supervised by Nicolas Delalande and defended at Sciences Po in December 2024.

Since 1 September 2025, Blaise Truong-Loï has been a Max Weber Postdoctoral Fellow at the European University Institute for a period of 24 months.

We congratulate him on this international recognition of the quality and originality of his work.
