Call for a Visiting research stay at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG)
This call for a Visiting research stay at the Max Planck Institute for the Study of Societies (MPIfG) in Cologne, Germany is open to junior researchers (doctoral students) and senior researchers (permanent faculty) from all disciplines.
Applicants must have a research project that falls within the disciplines of political science, sociology, economics, history, or a related field. Applications accepted from junior researchers (doctoral students) and senior researchers (postdocs and faculty).
Funding:
The monthly stipend is 800€ for doctoral students.
How to apply:
Deadlines: Applications must be sent by April 30, 2025 for visits during the German winter semester (October-March 2025-2026) or by November 3, 2025 for visits during the German summer semester (April-September 2026).

- Curriculum Vitae
- Letter of motivation (please include the desired time period of your research stay and with whom you are interested in working at the MPIfG)
- Title and short abstract (200 words) of your research project
- Description of your research project (1-2 pages)
