« Bonjour ! My name is Dien-Ying Yang, the treasurer of SORA. I am currently an M2 student on the International Relations track, department of Political Science at the School of Research. The current topic of my master’s thesis is populism and foreign policy. Nonetheless, my research interests also include Europe-China relations, the foreign policy of the EU, the politics of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), international security, and Sino-US relations. I joined SORA since it has an important role in facilitating connections between students, researchers, and faculty members in our school. For anyone interested in research and hoping to pursue an academic career in the future, like me, I think this is an excellent choice. »

My research interest includes political parties, the evolution of social cleavages and democratic backsliding in the EU.
