Niklas Schoch is a PhD candidate in Economics working on a thesis entitled Commitment in Uncertain Times: Investment Decisions, Price Volatility, and the EU ETS, under the supervision of Johannes Boehm and Stefan Pollinger.

His primary research interests include market-based climate policy instruments, firm-responses to ETS-regulation. He is also interested in global energy commodity markets, electricity markets, industrial organisation, and the macroeconomics of climate change.
