The Class of the Master in Marketing: New Luxury & Art de Vivre in Milan

Our Master's in Marketing: New Luxury & Art de Vivre at the School of Management and Impact organized its traditional study trip to Milan in June.

On the agenda: meetings, visits, and above all, strengthening the class spirit.

Allowing students to meet professionals and confront their academic knowledge with real-world experience is essential.

In this spirit, students visited two production sites near Milan: those of Louboutin and Roveda, where they observed the production lines of iconic shoes—Louboutin and Chanel. They also discovered the history and heritage of Maison Serapian and engaged with highly skilled artisans.

The links between luxury, culture, and contemporary art are also inseparable.

These were explored through three guided visits: the Fondazione Prada dedicated to contemporary art, Casa Fornasetti, and the Marta Sala Editions design showroom.

In-Depth Analysis of the Luxury Sector

The trip was also an opportunity to meet two luxury sector experts during two masterclasses:

  • An analysis of the Italian and Milanese luxury market and its specificities by Professor Luca Visconti
  • An analysis of the global luxury market, its long-term prospects and challenges, by Carlo Moltrasio (Bain & Company), through the Bain Altagamma Worldwide Luxury Monitor

A beautiful way to wrap up the academic year!

This trip would not have been possible without the support of the Master’s partners: Chanel, Christian Louboutin, LVMH, Richemont, and Saint Laurent.
