Research corresponding to this theme focuses on forms of government, the dynamics of political regimes and collective mobilisation (voting, activism, etc.), whether it be in the form of protest or revolutionary or counter-revolutionary mobilisation. Researchers explore the dynamics of power relations and processes of legitimisation, domination and contestation at different levels. Research involves adopting comparative and interdisciplinary approaches, combining qualitative and quantitative methods, in varied and often rapidly changing areas.
