CERI SUPPORT FOR CNRS APPLICATIONS

The Center for International Studies (CERI-Sciences Po/CNRS), UMR 7050, supports candidates applying for the 2027 CNRS competitive examination, particularly in sections 39, 43, and 52. Any application that aligns with the laboratory’s research agenda is welcome.

You are invited to submit your request for support via email to Quitterie Gadret, Executive Director of CERI (quitterie.gadret@sciencespo.fr), by November 20, 2026 (strict deadline), with the subject line “CNRS 2027 Competition” and the following documents attached:

• a CV including a list of publications;

• a cover letter explaining your choice of CERI;

• a research proposal that meets the criteria of the CNRS National Committee’s sections (a draft version is acceptable, depending on the stage of its development).

Your proposal will be reviewed by the members of the laboratory’s Council for a decision on funding by December 15, 2026, at the latest. Candidates supported by CERI will receive a letter confirming this support during the month of December. Support will be offered to candidates preselected by the CNRS.

Procedure for requesting an invitation to a visiting fellowship at CERI

Requests for invitations are processed by the CERI unit council, after sending a formal request. This system ensures that the guest's project is consistent with the Center's research areas.

Three application periods are proposed, for a stay envisaged at the earliest in the semester following your application:

  • January 20th: for an arrival at the beginning of April at the earliest
  • June 15th: for an arrival at the beginning of September at the earliest
  • October 15th: for an arrival in January at the earliest

Applications must be done by completing the application form. The response will be communicated four weeks after the application deadline.

Financing options are available. More information

You must complete your file by completing the invitation request form, and submitting the files requested at the end of the questionnaire, in the required format.

Application form:

  • CV (PDF)
  • Your picture (jpg)
  • Motivation Statement (PDF or Word)
  • Confirmation of support from a CERI member (PDF or Word)
  • For doctoral students: a letter of support from their thesis director (PDF or Word)

Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Guests have an access card to the premises and the library, a sciencespo.fr email address, a work space (as far as possible), and are invited to all of the Center's events. Depending on the length of the stay or the framework of the invitation (contractual, scholarship, etc.), guests actively contribute to laboratory activities. Some present their work in one of the CERI seminars and/or give conferences and/or participate in our events as discussants in order to bring their expertise.
