Research interests

Christian Buhl-Madsen's current research interest revolve around the construction of crisis as a space where specific sets of ideas can gain prominence over others and empower political as well as other actors in a differential manner with different policies to follow. His thesis deals with such questions and adds the translation of international events into domestic politics as part of the puzzle. It deals with the power of causal ideas among decision-makers within the time frame of the first oil-crisis of the early 1970s in France and the U.K.

Visiting projects and objectives

Christian Buhl-Madsen intends to pursue his Ph.D. thesis while at CEE. In particular, the role of causal ideas among decision makers should benefit greatly from interaction with the CEE.
