Caterina Froio (PhD EUI 2015; HDR Sciences Po 2023) is Associate Professor in Political Science at Sciences Po (CEE). Caterina’s research focuses on political participation, particularly in the context of far-right politics in Europe. She explores why and how individuals are drawn to far-right ideologies in both elections and civil society, shedding light on the societal and individual factors that influence political engagement and challenge democratic norms.

Before joining Sciences Po, Caterina held research and teaching positions at the University of Colorado at Boulder (Department of Political Science), the University of Oxford (Oxford Internet Institute) and the Catholic University of Lille (European School of Political and Social Sciences).
