17:00 Join us for JDI's next conference on "Lessons from the Korean War, similarities with the War in Ukraine?" with Professor Song Young Gil.
Mr. Song Young Gil, former Chairman and now Executive Advisor of the Democratic Party of South Korea, a five-term congressman, and the former mayor of Incheon, is a prominent political figure in South Korea. Following his presentation at the Seoul mayor election, Mr. Song has decided to conduct an academic pause in Paris as a visiting professor of ESCP. This event will focus on the lessons learned and unlearned from the Korean War and its implications for the war in Ukraine. The discussions will also open up to dialogue on transnational nuclear policies and the threat of World War III, with the Korean Peninsula being one of the potential ignition points.
