Timothée Parrique is a social scientist and researcher at Lund University in Sweden. He is originally from Versailles, France, and has a PhD in economics from the Centre d’Études et de Recherches sur le Développement (University of Clermont Auvergne, France) and the Stockholm Resilience Centre (Stockholm University, Sweden). He explores "the transition from a growth economy to a degrowth society" in his dissertation, “The political economy of degrowth” (2019.) Timothée will present his book, Ralentir ou périr. L’économie de la décroissance (Seuil, 2022). Students from In Situ will facilitate interactive exercises to discuss and reflect on how degrowth could be implemented in urban planning policies.
