Biography
Carlo Barone, University Professor, has been serving as the Director of the Centre for Research on Social Inequalities (CRIS) since September 1, 2024. He is also affiliated with the LIEPP, where he contributes to the "Educational Policies" research axis. Furthermore, he is a member of the Scientific Council for National Education and acts as the scientific correspondent for the IDEE program (Innovations, Data, and Experiments in Education).
Sociologist of education and social stratification, Carlo Barone conducts comparative research and randomized experiments on social inequalities in education and on learning acquisition processes, in relation to social origin and gender. He is involved in evaluating educational policies aimed at reducing these inequalities, notable through parental support interventions.
