Biographie
Carlo Barone est professeur des universités, directeur du CRIS depuis le 1er septembre 2024 et membre du LIEPP, axe « Politiques éducatives ».
Il est également membre du Conseil scientifique de l'éducation nationale et correspondant scientifique du programme IDEE (Innovations, Données et Expérimentations en Éducation).
Sociologue de l'éducation et de la stratification sociale, Carlo Barone mène des recherches comparatives et des expérimentations randomisées sur les inégalités sociales dans l'éducation et sur les processus d'acquisition des apprentissages, en lien avec l'origine sociale et le genre. Il participe à l'évaluation de politiques éducatives visant à réduire ces inégalités, notamment par le biais d'interventions d'accompagnement parental.
