LIEPP general call for projects 2025
LIEPP general call for projects 2025
‘Interdisciplinary evaluation of public policies
The Laboratoire interdisciplinaire d'évaluation des politiques publiques (LIEPP) is launching a general call for projects aimed at strengthening the activities of its research areas. This call for projects is part of LIEPP's dynamic partnership with Université Paris Cité (UPCité).
The LIEPP promotes an innovative approach to evaluative research, combining quantitative, qualitative and comparative methods, and combining a high level of scientific rigour with a concern for disseminating and translating research results to public players and civil society. Its activities are organised into six main areas of research: discrimination and categorical policies, socio-fiscal policies, educational policies, evaluation of democracy, environmental policies and health policies.
This call for projects (AAP) aims to strengthen the activities of LIEPP's six thematic research areas. Each area is briefly presented below, specifying, where appropriate, its priority research themes in the context of this call for proposals. Beyond these priority themes, all projects relating to the general themes of the axes will be considered. For more information, please contact the people in charge of each research area (indicated on the page for each area on the LIEPP website, see links below).
Contributions must be interdisciplinary, as the call is broadly open to all disciplines that can contribute to reflection on public action (data science, design, law, economics, geography, history, psychology, public health, education sciences, management sciences, environmental sciences, life sciences, political science, sociology, etc.). All innovative and creative approaches will be welcome, particularly those based on participatory science. To this end, the identification of project partners from the public or voluntary sectors and a description of how they plan to get involved will be encouraged.
Each project must be led by one or two researchers, at least one of whom must be a tenured researcher whose main affiliation is with a Sciences Po or Université Paris Cité laboratory. The same researcher may not (co-)lead more than one project. The maximum duration of funded projects is 24 months.
The funding provided may vary according to needs, from co-financing of a project already underway to more substantial funding involving, for example, the recruitment of a research assistant for a few months (see list of eligible expenses below). Interested parties are invited to contact the LIEPP team (liepp@sciencespo.fr) as soon as possible, before submitting their project, to discuss budgetary arrangements.
Projects may be written in French or English.
Projects must be submitted by 9 June 2025 at the latest, using the online application form.
Incomplete or late applications will not be considered. The results will be announced in mid-July, and projects will be able to start in September 2025 (please note that it takes a minimum of 3 weeks to recruit someone on a fixed-term contract, once the person has been identified).
