Biography

During her master’s degree in Psychology of Children’s Education and Cognitive Development (University Paris Cité), Mélanie was a research assistant at the LIEPP. She then joined the LaPsyDE to begin her PhD under the supervision of Grégoire Borst and Carlo Barone. Her dissertation work focuses on the evaluation of different programs promoting metacognitive abilities (thinking about thinking, learning to learn) in kindergarten and young primary school students. She is particularly interested in their effects on children’s academic achievement and the reduction of educational inequalities related to the socioeconomic background from which they come. In this context, Mélanie also collaborates on the Project 123CP.
