Marine Gassier is a researcher whose work focuses on conflict processes, rebel governance, and the political economic of humanitarian assistance, particularly in the Horn of Africa. Her current project examines the conditions under which rebel governance transform local political hierarchies, and the implications of this transformation for post-conflict state-building. Alongside her research, Marine has worked as a consultant for the World Bank, contributing to conflict assessments and to the design of conflict-prevention programs. She holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from Sciences Po Paris and an M. A. from Johns Hopkins University-SAIS.
