Doctoral Workshop on Contemporary China

About
This workshop aims to serve as a platform for doctoral students working in the humanities and social sciences on contemporary China to present their work. Co-organized between EHESS and Sciences Po, it is open to all doctoral students whose research relates to contemporary China in a broad sense, including its geographical periphery and its global dimensions, and coming from various disciplines (history, sociology, political science, anthropology, geography etc.). The objective is thus to bring young researchers together beyond disciplinary and institutional boundaries.
Each session is organized around the presentation of their work by two doctoral students (or recent PhDs). Each presentation will be followed by a discussion by the group. The presenters can showcase projects at different stages of progress, ranging from research proposals to papers ready for publication. The speakers are expected to circulate the paper they present (thesis project, written chapter, etc.) ahead of the session to fluidify the discussion.
