Visiting Associate Professor
Associate Professor in political science at the University of Tromsø - The Arctic University of Norway, Jonas Stein is also currently serving as President of The Young Academy of Norway and on the university board of University of Tromsø. He has previous international experience from the University of Melbourne and King's College London, and, as a student, at the Lycée Pierre Corneille in Rouen.
Intérêts de recherche
Jonas Stein mainly works with Norwegian and European politics and teach courses on quantitative methods, comparative politics and the European Union. He has a keen interest in how territorial politics matters for different political outcomes in various countries and has published on topics like political behavior, political trust, and the effects of public policy in journals such as Regional; Federal Studies, Territory, Politics, Governance, Local Government Studies, Arctic Review of Law and Politics and Marine Policy.

Jonas Stein is especially interested in contemporary French politics and how French scholars analyze political changes in France. In particular, he will study the period of the last presidential and the ongoing legislative elections.
