Anja Durovic is currently a post-doctoral researcher in the ANR project CosPo (The construction of “surveyed public opinion” in France and Germany) at the Centre Emile Durkheim at Sciences Po Bordeaux and an associate researcher at the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics (CEE). Anja holds an MA (Science Po) and BA (University of Mannheim) in Political Science. She was previously a visiting research fellow at the University of Oxford (2017) and obtained a PhD in Political Science (2020) from Sciences Po. Her thesis titled “The gender gap paradox : citizenship, cohort change and the evolution of gender inequalities in political participation in Western Europe (1981-2016)” was nominated and shortlisted for the 2021 Jean Blondel PhD Prize of the European Consortium for Political Research (ECPR). Anja’s research focuses on gender and generational inequalities in political behavior and attitudes as well as on the links between political representation, responsiveness, and the use of public opinion research by political elites. She teaches comparative politics, gender and politics as well as quantitative and qualitative methods at Sciences Po (Paris) and Sciences Po Bordeaux.
