Juan Cristellys is a Senior Consultant at Eurogroup Consulting, a strategy consulting firm based in Paris. He did his Bachelor at Sciences Po, at the Campus in South America, Spain and Portugal.

In November 2019, Christophe Jaffrelot, CNRS Senior researcher at Sciences Po, CERI, was elected member of the prestigious French Académie des sciences morales et politiques. He accepted to answer our questions on his career as a researcher and teacher at Sciences Po. This interview was conducted by Miriam Perier.

Sciences Po is a wonderful school and offers a tremendous network of alumni. Use the 3A year, Master’s years or a gap year to study or work abroad, join the alumni network after you graduate, and keep in touch with one another. I have made some of my greatest friends and some of my greatest work connection thanks to Sciences Po.

Stéphanie Cardot is a graduate of Sciences Po’s economics and finance program. We spoke with her about what it took to start her own business in France and the United States. She provided her insights on entrepreneurship and how Sciences Po prepared her for the world of business.

We caught up with Anne Picq, a 2002 Sciences Po graduate working at the intersection of the arts and social enterprises. Here she shares her thoughts on working with museums on both sides of the Atlantic, and her experience collaborating with prestigious cultural institutions in New York City.

We profiled Antoine Heuty, an alum of Sciences Po’s public affairs program and founder of Ulula. Heuty talked about his company, and provided insights on labor rights, international development, and social enterprises.

Hugo Ribadeau Dumas graduated from Sciences Po in 2013. He now works as an advisor to the Government of India. He has worked in India, Bangladesh and Afghanistan in the last 6 years.

Brent McCann graduated in 2018 with a Master in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action with concentrations in African Studies and Methods. He is currently working for Camber Collective, a mission-driven strategy-driven consulting firm engaging with philanthropic, humanitarian, and governmental organizations on a wide array of development topics. Brent is based in Paris, while CamberCollective has additional offices in Seattle and San Francisco.

We recently spoke [june 2019] with Francois Delattre, French ambassador to the UN and a Sciences Po alumnus. He provided his thoughts on the art of diplomacy and memories from almost 20 years posted in North America before he returns to Paris as secretary general of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Max Bouchet is a Washington D.C.-based alum who works for the Brookings Institution’s Metropolitan Policy program. We caught up with him to discuss his insights on urban development in the United States and across the world, and advice for current students.

Sciences Po student Lamis Al Jasem was born in Raqqa, Syria. Tired of the onslaught of images of destruction that have characterised Raqqa in the media since its capture by the Islamic State in 2013, Lamis decided to show the world her hometown as she once knew it. While completing a Master’s in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action, Lamis launched See My Raqqa, a social media project that shares positive photography of the Syrian city, both before the invasion and today. Now See My Raqqa has become a community, a place for Syrians to exchange stories and memories, transforming rubble back into the monuments that existed before. Lamis told us about her mission.

Memphis Blue is a student in the dual degree programme between Sciences Po and the University of Sydney. At the beginning of 2019, she was awarded the Davis Projects for Peace, which she used to launch the initiative “A Different View” in New South Wales, Australia. In this interview, she tells us about the project and her plans to expand it further.

Paul Claudel, French poet and dramatist, brother of the sculptor Camille Claudel, and member of the Académie Française, is also a Sciences Po alumnus.

Gregory Hrycaj is a graduate of the Sciences Po School of Public Affairs. In 2016, he obtained his MA in European Affairs and returned to the United States to launch a career with Analog Devices, a global leader in the production of semiconductors.

Since its opening in 1872, Sciences Po has welcomed thousands of British students from neighbouring universities across the Channel. Among the very first Brits to enrol at the university was Sir Austen Chamberlain, an ambitious Cambridge graduate with a brilliant future in European diplomacy. Best known for his role negotiating the Locarno Treaties, for which he was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, Chamberlain held the position of Foreign Secretary in the inter-war years from 1924 – 1929. What did he take away from his time as the only British student in Sciences Po’s Class of 1886, and how was that to shape his policy during such a pivotal period in Europe’s history?

The Sciences Po American Foundation awarded Maëlle Gavet its annual alumni award during a reception earlier in May. Gavet is a 2002 graduate of the Sciences Po master's program, and Chief Operating Officer of Compass, a real estate technology company building an end-to-end platform for agents and their clients.

Samina Ansari graduated from PSIA in 2018 and is currently the ExecutiveDirector at the Women’s Centre at the American University of Afghanistan. She realised that women were rarely at the heart of conflict resolution and the rebuilding of countries torn apart by war.

Many Sciences Po students dream of winning admission to the vaunted School of National Administration (ENA), which produces the highest rung of France’s political elite. But for Michel Perez rejection from ENA was possibly “the best thing that happened in my life.”
