Patrick Le Galès named a 2026 SASE Honorary Fellow

Patrick Le Galès, CNRS Research Professor at the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics, was named SASE honorary fellow for his outstanding achievements in comparative sociology and political economy, and remarkable contributions to understanding the role of cities and regions in shaping local economies and societies, and the interconnections between the making of the state and the making of markets.

Founded in 1989, the Society for the Advancement of Socio-Economics (SASE) is an international, interdisciplinary organisation that aims to understand how social and economic forces shape societies and institutions, and to analyse contemporary transformations in capitalism.

Other SASE Honorary Fellows include Wolfgang Streeck (MPIfG), Richard Swedberg (Cornell University), Kathleen Thelen (MIT) and Viviana Zelizer (Princeton University), among others.
