Meet the 2025 Summa Cum Laude: Pietro Righi

Coming from Italy, Pietro Righi has graduated Summa Cum Laude in International Economic Policy.

What skills/strategy helped you to succeed at PSIA?

Working with classmates enabled me to stay motivated, learn new study methods, improve my time management, and learn about different career opportunities I had not previously considered.

What part of your PSIA experience do you think will be of greatest help in your career?

First, the content of my courses in macroeconomics, economic policy, and sovereign debt has prepared me for my current role. More broadly, PSIA has improved my ability to analyze complex issues, select relevant information, formulate coherent arguments, and present them effectively both in speaking and writing.

Furthermore, PSIA's proximity to the job market has enabled me to navigate the different career paths and opportunities within national and international economic policymaking.

What advice would you give to current and future PSIA students?

Go to campus as much as possible. SciencesPo organizes an enormous number of talks, debates, and events hosting anyone from heads of state to business leaders and artists - sign up for as many as you can. Study with your classmates, meet people from other courses. You will have more fun and learn twice as much. It is these experiences rather than individual study that will most make your time at SciencesPo rewarding.
