Podcast Sciences Po CEE · Roundtable - Populism in Europe ahead of the 2024 EU parliamentary elections

In the run-up to the 2024 European elections nationalism and populism have taken central stage, closely intertwined with critical concerns about minority and civil rights and the preservation of the separation of powers. Will populist parties increase their support? What lies behind their appeal? Do recent developments in European politics suggest a risk of democratic backsliding? This roundtable aims to explore these questions, sparking a critical dialogue on potential futures for Europe.
