Projects

Ninon le Cozannet-Laidin’s doctoral research focuses on the implementation of child protection policies, building on the work she conducted during her Master’s studies. Her Master’s dissertation examined the comparative implementation of preventive and participatory practices in child protection in the Departments of Seine-Saint-Denis and Ille-et-Vilaine. The comparative analysis of the concrete practices of social workers (street-level bureaucrats) sought to identify the factors that facilitate or hinder the implementation of preventive and participatory approaches. The PhD project broadens this research by adopting a dual comparative perspective: on the one hand, at the national level, between France and Sweden; and on the other hand, at the local level, between two French departments and two Swedish municipalities.

Thesis topic
