Le Bitcoin est régulièrement présenté dans les médias comme étant un monstre énergivore ou un désastre écologique. Qu’en est-il vraiment?

C’est est un entrepreneur qui a fondé sa propre entreprise de mining verte, qui utilise seulement des énergies renouvelables. Expert reconnu dans le domaine des crypto-monnaies, il intervient régulièrement dans les médias et conférences du Web 3, comme BFM crypto ou le surfin bitcoin.
 

Discussion avec la journaliste Constance Vilanova autour des dernières affaires de violences sexistes et sexuelles dans le milieu de la téléréalité.

Affaire Julien Bert, affaire Illan Castronovo, affaire Julien Guirado... Les affaires de violences sexistes et sexuelles se multiplient dans le système de la téléréalité. Pourtant, elles sont souvent traitées sur les réseaux sociaux comme des cas isolés. Quel rôle pour les productions, l'industrie médiatique, les agences et autres acteurs du milieu dans cette protection permanente des agresseurs, voire dans la reproduction de schémas violents et sexistes dans les émissions ? Nous en parlerons avec la journaliste Constance Vilanova, qui a mené plusieurs enquêtes sur ce sujet. 

A defining feature of the post-pandemic world is the digital transformation that has permeated every aspect of our lives. Through this conference the Women in International Relations Initiative of Sciences Po pour les Nations Unies (SPNU) hopes to facilitate a moderated discussion between the students of Sciences Po and our high-level panellists to have a comprehensive exchange of ideas and to address the question, ‘Is technology advancing or impeding gender equality in the G20 countries?’.

The Internet, digital platforms, mobile phones and digital financial services offer “leapfrog” opportunities for all and can help bridge the gender divide by giving women the possibility to earn additional income, increase their employability, and access knowledge and general information (OECD, 2018).

Unfortunately, despite many advantages, the digital revolution also presents a risk of perpetuating existing patterns of gender inequality derived from its malicious use. Growing inequalities are becoming increasingly evident in the context of digital skills and access to technologies, with women being left behind as the result of this digital gender divide. The need for inclusive and transformative technology and digital education is therefore crucial for a sustainable future. 

The event will bring together high-level panellists from international organisations, G20 governments, and leading private-sector enterprises to highlight the role of all stakeholders and address the key challenges that digital transformation poses for policy thinkers, policy drivers, and policymakers regarding gender equality in G20 countries. The event will also hope to spotlight the importance of protecting the rights of women and girls in digital spaces and addressing online and ICT-facilitated gender-based violence. 

The event will be in the format of a 40-minute moderated discussion with the panellists followed by a 30-minute Q&A with the students.

Conférence pour les futurs avocats souhaitant se lancer dans le monde des fusions et acquisitions. Elle est préparée par l'équipe du cabinet anglais Addleshaw Goddard et organisée par l'équipe de l'AJSP. Les étudiants inscrits auront la chance d'être invités aux locaux des avocats afin d'approfondir les sujets traités et s'entretenit avec eux.

La conférence se déroulera le 13 avril de 17h à 19h. Mathieu Taupin (associé M&A) et Marie-Emilie Codina (counsel M&A) présenteront la matière et soumettront un cas pratique afin d'encourager une réflexion plus concrète sur le sujet.

While of universal importance, the question of home gains special significance in contexts of forced migration. Examining the Syrian case for larger insights, Wendy Pearlman shares interviews that she has conducted over the past decade with 500 displaced Syrians around the world. She explores their stories of losing, seeking, finding, or not finding home, and what they teach us about the meaning of belonging. These perspectives interrogate common narratives of refugee and migrant “crisis” and offer a new lens on concepts such as exile and integration.

Wendy Pearlman is Professor of Political Science at Northwestern University, where she holds the Charles Deering McCormick Professorship of Teaching Excellence and Crown Professorship of Middle East Studies. A specialist in the comparative politics of the Middle East, she has authored 4 books and 35 academic articles or chapters on topics ranging from social movements to refugee studies.

Elspeth Guild is Jean Monnet Professor ad personam at Queen Mary University of London as well as at the Radboud University Nijmegen, Netherlands. She is also a partner at the London law firm, Kingsley Napley and a visiting Professor at the College of Europe, Bruges.

 

 

 

Nassim Majidi is the co-founder and Executive Director of Samuel Hall. She is also a Research Associate at the African Centre for Migration and Society at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and at the Feinstein International Center at Tufts University, USA.

 

 

 

Asser Khattab is a Media and Communications Associate at the Clooney Foundation for Justice. He previously worked as a journalist reporting on Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq for various international media outlets. He has also written for New Lines Magazine and served as the Research and Communications Officer for the International Commission of Jurists’ MENA programme.

 

 

 Pascale Esho Warda is the president of the Hammurabi Human Rights     Organization an NGO defending the rights of minorities in Iraq. She is also the  former Minister of Migration and Displacement in the Iraqi Interim Government.
