Frédérique Beauvois wins the Special Jury Prize of the French Senate’s 2012 Thesis Prize

Frédérique Beauvois completed her thesis in November 2011 (with a “Very Honourable mention with the jury’s congratulations”) on the subject: “Indemnising plantation owners for the abolition of slavery: a comparative study of British and French parliamentary debates (1788-1848).” The thesis was completed in cotutelle with the University of Lausanne, co-supervised by Professors Olivier Petre Grenouilleau and Bouda Etemad.
