Stephan Haimo has lived, studied and practiced law and business in France and the United States.
After his studies at the Lycée Français de New York, Mr. Haimo graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (SP 1977) and obtained his law and graduate degrees from the University of Paris and new York University School of Law.
He is a member of the New York bar and Avocat à la Cour de Paris. He practiced law for over 30 years. As a partner in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, he advised global corporations, boards of directors and private equity firms in M&A transactions in the US and Europe. Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, he was with Baker & McKenzie, first Paris and then in New York.
After having directed the private investment arm of a Hong Kong family, he now oversees investments in diverse industries around the world.
Stephan Haimo is actively involved in international education, both as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Lycée Français de New York and a founding member of the US Sciences Po Foundation.
