2025 in Review: The PSIA’s Tech & Global Affairs Innovation Hub’s Second Year

Towards a Responsible Digital Future: PSIA's Tech & Global Affairs Innovation Hub Releases 2025 Report

We are proud to publish PSIA’s Technology and Global Affairs Innovation Hub's second annual activity report. In 2025, the Hub has reinforced its role as a convening space where policymakers, industry leaders, civil society actors, researchers, and students discuss the governance challenges raised by emerging technologies, from artificial intelligence, to new cybersecurity threats, from innovative space activities to increasingly crucial digital infrastructures.

Over the past year, the Hub organized nine major events that brought together hundreds of participants from around the world, including international conferences on AI and economic solidarity, a workshop on the future of cybersecurity regulation, and a global symposium strengthening civil society’s role in AI governance. Alongside these gatherings, the Hub further expanded its publication program, releasing five influential policy briefs, including the ones on digital travel credentials, quantum governance, and space regulation, and contributed to major collaborative reports and public debates with partner organizations and international institutions. At the same time, we engaged with our students, the next generation of leaders, launching the first Master Thesis Prize in Technology, Global Affairs & Public Policy, sponsoring learning expeditions, and supporting student-led initiatives, such as the Cybersecurity Wargames.

Looking ahead to 2026, the Hub is preparing to address priorities shaped by geopolitical shifts and technological acceleration, including ethical quantum transitions, resilience of critical digital infrastructure, and digital identity systems. We invite you to explore the full report to discover how the Hub’s second year has strengthened its role at the intersection of technology and global governance and how its 2026 roadmap tackles the challenges to come.
