The Carbon Hunters is a 52-minute documentary that sheds light on one of the most powerful tools in our fight against climate change: nature itself.

Filmmakers Elena Sender and Alexis Barbier-Bouvet take us on a global journey to meet scientists working at the frontlines of climate research. From forests to ocean depths, they reveal how ecosystems act as vital carbon sinks, absorbing and storing massive amounts of CO2. But how exactly does this work? Where are these “carbon hunters” operating? And what role can nature-based solutions play in addressing the climate crisis?

Produced by Boréales and Terra Mater, in association with France Télévisions, and with the participation of Ushuaïa TV, CNC, and Procirep-Angoa, the film combines stunning visuals with scientific insight to deliver a message of hope: we already have powerful allies in nature, if we choose to protect and work with them.

At a time when the climate emergency can feel overwhelming, The Carbon Hunters reminds us that solutions exist in nature that may hold the key to our future.

Projection of the documentary followed by a Q&A with the producer Gilles Duffraisse.

Registration is mandatory and subject to availability.
