As the world gears up for COP 30 in Belém, join us for a timely discussion on how to scale up climate finance in emerging markets and developing economies (EMDEs).

This event will explore the New Collective Quantified Goal on Climate Finance (NCQG), breaking down what these figures mean and the types of financial flows they encompass. With a focus on the indispensable role of private finance, we’ll delve into the challenges of finance mobilisation and discuss solutions like blended finance and risk mitigation instruments to accelerate clean energy and industry decarbonisation.

This event will also highlight the critical role of financial regulators and supervisors in unlocking climate finance, ensuring that all sources of capital are effectively mobilised to meet global climate goals. This discussion will be an opportunity to gain insights into the strategies and instruments needed to turn ambition into action.

Moderator : Benjamin Denis, Energy Policy Analyst, OECD.

Speakers : the panel will comprise civil society, international organisation and public development bank experts focusing on climate action and finance mobilisation.

Registration is mandatory and subject to availability.
