Exhibition from 6 October to 9 November 2025

SO/ Paris, the hotel housed in the former Prefecture of Paris and bringing together 1960s brutalist architecture and contemporary design, has invited the artist Victor Cord’homme to create a striking site-specific installation in its lobby. The exhibition, curated by Stefano Vendramin, founder of the curatorial platform STRATA, will run from 6 October to 9 November 2025.

Winner of the 2024 Art Eco-Design Prize from Art of Change 21, Cord’homme works across painting, drawing, and sculpture to create playful, singular worlds. His practice channels raw energy through hybrid forms, exploring our relationship to movement and to the environment. Crafted entirely from salvaged materials, his autonomous sculptures respond to their surroundings, each element chosen for its “memory” and imperfections.

Cord’homme has enjoyed personal exhibitions in France and internationally. These include the Maison des Arts de Grand Quevilly in Rouen (2019), Nuit Blanche at La Villette (Pavillon Paul Delouvrier, 2019), Poush Manifesto in Clichy, the Centre d’art contemporain Les Tanneries in Amilly (Centre-Val de Loire, 2021), as well as the Hermès vitrines in Shanghai (2020) and Tokyo (2021).

For SO/ Paris, Cord’homme has created a kinetic installation: a series of sculptures crafted from recovered materials such as motors, brass offcuts, glass, and more. Imagined as living organisms, these pieces respond to air currents and the presence of viewers, pulsing with breath — vital energy in constant flux.
