Boutmy Scholarship

Sciences Po created the Émile Boutmy scholarship, named after the founder of Sciences Po (1871) in order to welcome the very best international students from outside the European Union. 

The Émile Boutmy scholarship fund benefits from the generous support of its sponsors (benefactors, companies, and foundations) who are eager to allow the most deserving international students to study at Sciences Po. Private sponsors can be in direct contact with scholarship holders during official organised events. See the page

Eiffel Scholarship

The Eiffel scholarship programme, launched in January 1999 by the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, is aimed at foreign students whose outstanding ability has been recognised by French institutions of higher education who wish to sponsor these students for the rest of their studies.

The programme is primarily designed to provide an education in France to future decision makers in both the private sector and in the national administrations of emerging countries. See the page

Chalhoub Scholarship

The Chalhoub scholarship allows students who wish to study at Sciences Po at the undergraduate level at the Sciences Po campus in Menton, Southern France. See the page

Mastercard Scholarship

The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program strives to provide access to quality and inclusive education to young people from the African continent. This Program is part of an ambitious new strategy (Young Africa Works), the Foundation aims to enable 30 million young Africans to secure dignified and fulfilling employment. See the page

 

Erasmus + Scholarship for SciencesPo PhD candidates

Erasmus+ scholarships specifically for doctoral students are available for countries in the MENA region. Mobility must take place by July 2026 at one of the universities listed below.

  • Egypt: American University of Cairo, Cairo University (IDAI or FESP), Senghor University
  • Jordan: University of Jordan, Yarmouk University
  • Morocco: UM6P, Al Akhawayn
  • UAE: Sorbonne Abu Dhabi
  • Qatar: Doha Institute

These field scholarships can cover periods ranging from 2 to 10 weeks. Students must be in contact with a researcher from the partner universities who can supervise them.

Foundation Al Qasimi Doctoral Research Grants

The Al Qasimi Foundation's Doctoral Research Grants encourage scholars from a wide range of disciplines and professional fields to undertake research toward informing policymaking in the United Arab Emirates.
Doctoral Research Grants financially support PhD candidates in the research phase of their dissertations. Each year for applied research projects that include Ras Al Khaimah or the UAE as at least one part of the research. The Grant covers all student expenses associated with their field research in the United Arab Emirates, including return airfares, furnished accommodation for up to 12 months, a stipend to cover living costs, and research support. Recipients are expected to produce one to two policy papers as part of the Grant and record a podcast or make at least one presentation to the local research community.

Application deadline: 1 April 2026.
