A great deal of research is being carried out in the Middle East and North Africa by members of the permanent faculty, post-docs, PhD students and Sciences Po students. This work, both individual and collective, draws on a variety of disciplines (history, political science & international relations, law, sociology & anthropology, political economy, urban studies) and covers a wide range of subjects: the various forms of Islamism, the recompositions of religion, citizenship, the nation, urban issues, political regimes, social movements, economic and social policies, migration, war and peace, etc.
