The Instructional Design and EdTech Division
The Instructional Design and EdTech Division is composed of instructional designers, a team dedicated to our learning management system Moodle, and a team in charge of the open education plateform Sources.
Our missions
- Faculty training: the division runs regular training sessions on higher education and digital pedagogy for teachers, academic advisors and PhD students. It creates resources for pedagogical methods and tools, which are made available to everyone involved in education at Sciences Po. Discussions on teaching practices are held regularly throughout the semester.
- Instructional design: teachers and academic staff can request one-to-one pedagogical support for setting up new courses and programmes, and help with course planning (for face-to-face, hybrid and remote teaching).
- Innovative pedagogical projects: the division helps educators develop online programmes (Moodle, Coursera), from design to publication. It also offers assistance with new teaching formats and methods.
- EdTech: the division also helps set up the EdTech components of the digital educational ecosystem, staying attentive to educators’ needs as they deploy new tools and technologies.
- Open education: the division develops the Sources open education platform, which makes the institutional digital resources (lectures, articles, podcasts…) available to the general public.
