Le séminaire veut être un lieu d’échange sur les recherches individuelles ou collectives en cours sur l’histoire des États-Unis et de l’Amérique du Nord au XXe siècle, tous sous-champs et niveaux de carrière confondus. Il a pour ambition de fédérer des historiens et des historiennes de générations différentes, d’ouvrir certaines séances à la réflexion pluridisciplinaire, et d’encourager la réflexion critique sur les enjeux sociétaux, politiques, et économiques majeurs des États-Unis et de l’Amérique du Nord et de leur place dans le monde actuel. Le séminaire sera organisé conjointement avec l’un des plus importants centres européens sur l’histoire contemporaine des Etats-Unis, le Roosevelt Institute for American Studies (université de Leiden). Le format sera hybride (présentiel et distanciel).
