As part of the recruitment process for the position of Full Professor (Professeur / Professeure des universités) in History “Political History of Contemporary Europe since 1945”, the Sciences Po Centre for History is organising a series of presentations by shortlisted candidates. 

The presentations will take place on Friday 5 June 2026 in Room K011, 1 Place Saint-Thomas-d’Aquin, Paris 7, and are open to the Sciences Po community.

9:00 - 10:00: Sophie BABY - Impunité, réconciliation, mémoire : une approche transnationale de la responsabilité en Espagne (XXe-XXIe siècles)

10:00 - 11:00: Rosario FORLENZA - Repositioning Europe: Politics, Religion, and the Global Rise and Demise of Christian Democracy

11:15 - 12:15: Mathieu FULLA - Le temps des possibles. Les dérèglements du capitalisme et le socialisme démocratique en Europe dans les "longues années 1970"

12:15 - 13:15: Patricia HERTEL - Air Travel and the Transformation of Global Business Practices, 1930s-1970s

Each candidate will give a 30-minute presentation, in English or French, on a research project related to the position. Each presentation will be followed by a 20-minute question-and-answer session.
