Biography
Émilien Ruiz joined Sciences Po in 2018 (on secondment from the University of Lille).
His research focuses mainly on the relationships between knowledge and powers since the end of the nineteenth century. In this perspective, he is interested in the transformations of the State, bureaucracy and civil service ; quantification practices in public and private contexts ; and the circulation of statistical knowledge between scientific, economic and administrative fields. A part of his work also concerns the history of the social sciences. He is particularly interested in the transformations of the writing of history, especially in a digital context.
