Lunch Topic: Inclusive finance and its powerful social impact. We are thrilled to welcome Marjolaine Chaintreau, a recognized expert in the field, who will share her strategic vision and journey. She will explore how financial innovation, ranging from inclusive insurance to digital payments, drives economic inclusion for millions of clients worldwide. 

Marjo is an inclusive finance and fintech expert, driving innovation for social impact across banking, insurance, debt and equity investment. She is currently responsible for strategy, investment and impact at AXA EssentiALL, AXP\s inclusive insurance business unit, covering over 20 million clients across Europe, Asia, Latin America, North and West Africa in 2025. 

Marjo was previously Head of Private Sector Digital Innovation for the Setter Than Cash Alliance Program at the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) based in Dakar (Senegal). She worked with national and multinational companies to design digital payment solutions reaching unbanked smallholder farmers, workers and SM Es. She started her career as Vice-President in the Citi Social Finance team, Citibank's global business unit for inclusive financial services, where she executed debt investment for financial institutions in Africa, Asia and Latam. She has various experience structuring, launching and originating transactions for blended impact finance funds focusing on SME financing, agribusiness and fintech. 

Marjo holds a Master of Finance from Sciences Po Paris and is a Certified Digital Finance Practitioner with Tufts University. She is trilingual in English, French and Spanish and sits on the Board of the European Microfinance Platform (e-MFP).
