Akhil Chowdary Unnam: "It's the best decision that I have made in my career"

The LLM in Transnational Arbitration and Dispute Settlement (or as we lovingly call it the TADS) under the tutelage of Prof. Diego Fernandez Arroyo, is the best decision that I have made in my career.

My experience in the past year with the program has not only been academically rewarding but also practically enriching. The TADS program offers well rounded and comprehensive outlook of not just Commercial Arbitration but Transnational litigation in all of its facets, Investment Arbitration and substantive topics of law as well. It is especially rewarding to learn from the world-renowned and highly respected professors and mentors in International Arbitration.

In my opinion, the best feature about this program that sets it apart from the others is the practical training workshops that we have in law firms. The 100+ hours of workshops that we had in best law firms in the world and arbitral institutions, essentially resulted in what as I like to call it as a ‘mini-internship’.

The TADS lives up to its name in being truly transnational, in terms of the academia, the diversity of the class and especially the enriching experience that I derived out of it. The past year has progressed way too fast and I have no hesitation in recommending this program to anyone who wishes to establish inroads into international arbitration.

The TADS program will always hold a special place in my heart as it transformed my life, not just academically or professionally. I will always cherish the time that I have spent with my Paris family- the TADS family.
