Biography
Jeanne Lazarus’s research focuses on:
- Money and banks
This field examines the interplay between the practices of households, banks, and public authorities within an institutional framework that encompasses banking regulation as well as group insurance and fiscal policies. - Public Policies on Household Finances
This research analyzes the policies that influence how individuals and households manage their money, take on debt and save, choose financial products, and resolve their financial difficulties. How do these policies evolve alongside changes in the welfare state? What conceptions of protection do they convey? - Women’s Money
The objective of this research area is to bring sociological studies on money into dialogue with gender studies. One of the key challenges is to analyze the link between self-ownership and ownership of money.
