The European Chair for Sustainable Development and Climate Transition, along with the European Investment Bank and Sciences Po’s Institute for Environmental Transformations, hosted an event to discuss the climate stakes ahead of COP29, taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan from 11-22 November 2024.

Launched under Sciences Po’s Laboratory for Interdisciplinary Evaluation of Public Policies (LIEPP), the goal of the PIREES55 project is to shed light on the enabling mechanisms needed to reach the proposed targets of the European Commission’s “Fit for 55” legislative package in the energy efficiency field.

We are pleased to announce the publication of the 4th edition of the Handbook of Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation, in which our Chairholder, Prof Marc Ringel, has authored the chapter, “European Climate Policy and the Global Context“, alongside Karen Pittel, Dirk Rübbelke, Stefan Vögele & Irina Silina.

All current students of Paris School of International Affairs (PSIA) and the École d’Affaires Publiques (EAP) are invited to take part in the Chair’s 2024 autumn semester student challenge.

This short series of video interviews with experts in food and agriculture explores key ideas and concepts at the heart of fostering more sustainable food systems — ones that deliver food security and nutrition while respecting human rights and planetary boundaries. This series is part of a graduate course on “Global Food Politics” at Sciences Po University, Paris, taught by Adjunct Professor Mr Chris Hegadorn.
