Sylvain Brouard has been a Senior Research Fellow at the CEVIPOF-Sciences Po since 2014 as well as from 2003 to 2008. From 2008 to 2014 he worked at the Centre E. Durkheim Centre. He was also a visiting researcher at the University of Washington, Seattle, W.A., in 2007, and at Oxford University in 2006. He was a visiting professor at Washington State University, Pullman, W.A., in 2010 and 2011. His research focuses on the relationships between political competition, institutions and public policy from a comparative perspective. His publications include: The French Fifth Republic at Fifty (Palgrave, 2008, with A. Appleton & A. Mazur), Français comme les autres? (Presses de Sciences Po, 2005 with V. Tiberj) and a large number of articles in peer-reviewed international journals. He co-directed the French Politics Group within theAmerican Political Science Association (2011-2017), theStanding Group Law & Courts of the European Consortium of Political Research (2010- 2014) and the Agendas France project (2005-2016). Together with his co-authors, Sylvain Brouard has twice awarded a prize for the best paper on France presented to APSA - in 2015 and in 2017 .
