Hazal Atay
Hazal Atay holds a Master’s degree in Political Studies from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and is currently a PhD candidate in Comparative Politics at Sciences PoHer research is co-supervised by Réjane Sénac (CEVIPOF – Sciences Po) and Zehra F. Kabasakal Arat (University of Connecticut).
Her PhD thesis is on the drafting of gender policy in Turkey. Her doctoral research has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 665850. Her research interests include feminist theory, gender studies, institutionalism and postcolonial theory. Hazal was a visiting student at the University of Cambridge, Centre for Gender Studies in Spring 2019. She has taught at the Sciences Po undergraduate campuses in Reims and Paris.
