Bruno Cautrès
Bruno Cautrès is a CNRS-affiliated Research Fellow at CEVIPOF-Sciences Po. His research focuses on the analysis of political behaviour, political attitudes and on elections. He has worked on the main French elections studies over the past two decades: the 2002 National French Electoral Panel, the 2007 National French Electoral panel, the 2012 National Election Study and the 2017 National French Electoral Survey. He has also participated in a number of cross-national survey programmes: the International Social Survey Program (ISSP), the European Social Survey (ESS), European Values Studies (EVS), European Election Studies (EES). He was national coordinator of the European social survey in France (rounds 1 and 2) from 2002-2005.
His more recent research focuses on the issues of citizen support for democracy and political trust. Over the last several years he has notably contributed to the development of the CEVIPOF's Political Trust Barometer, a benchmark survey created by Pascal Perrineau in 2009.
Bruno Cautrès lectures in political science, political sociology and quantitative methods at Sciences Po and in different international programmes (ECPR and IPSA methods programmes). He is a member of the editorial boards of the Revue française de science politique and the Revue française de sociologie.
