Biography

AAymeric Leroy is a doctoral student in political theory at CEVIPOF. He holds a Master's degree in political science and political theory from Sciences Po, as well as a Master's degree in moral and political philosophy from the Sorbonne (Paris IV). He also obtained advanced certification in gender studies from Sciences Po (PRESAGE).

His research, which takes a largely Foucauldian perspective, aims to account for discourses that portray resentment (ressentiment) as a threat against which democracy must be defended. His thesis, provisionally entitled ‘A Genealogy of (Anti-)Resentment,’ is supervised by Prof. Frédéric Gros.

Aymeric Leroy teaches political humanities, political science and political theory at Sciences Po (first and second year courses). He has been a teaching assistant for Frédéric Gros' course on political humanities, as well as for his master's course ‘What is consent?’ (philosophical approaches to consent).
