Fanny Badache is a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Fellow at CERI from September 2025 to August 2027. Her current project focuses on the diversity of civilian personnel in UN peacekeeping operations.

Before joining Sciences Po, she was an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations since February 2024. Previously, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. She obtained her PhD in political science from the University of Lausanne in 2021. She was a visiting researcher at the European University Institute (Spring 2023) and the City University of New York (academic year 2018-2019).

Her research lies at the intersection of international relations and public administration, with a focus on UN staff working at headquarters (New York and Geneva) and in the field. Her work has been published in journals such as Contemporary Security Policy, International Affairs, International Studies Quarterly, Global Policy, and Global Studies Quarterly. She is also interested in research methods and is co-editor of the volume International Organizations and Research Methods: An Introduction (University of Michigan Press, 2023).
