The Borders and Migrations « dossier » connects two fields of research closely interrelated: borders are generally used to control migration and migrations are measured because there are frontiers, be they domestic, international or symbolic. 

Have we entered an era of « obsession with borders » like Michel Foucher would write it, or, on the contrary, should we see borders as the place for the definition of collective belongings, just as in Regis Debray’s In Praise of Borders ?.
