Sarah El-Abd and Michelle Pace are invited to present the recently published monograph "Un-Welcome to Denmark, the Paradigm shift and Refugee Integration" (Manchester University Press),
The book critically assessed how the Denmark's migration regime, once admired as a liberal and tolerant regime with a strong reverence for human rights, has turned into one of the harshest regimes in Europe. It documents the ways in which the Danish migration gaze produces and perpetuates the hyper precarity of the everyday lives of Syrians and the anxiety that overshadows the manner in which Syrians and those who support them navigate its maze.

Michelle Pace, Independant Professor and Researcher, Denmark
